I would give this thing 10 stars if I could! First off, it comes nicely packaged in a box with a sleek holder for most of the accessories. The holder fits the probe and most of the tip attachments and they slide nice and securely into place. While the USB/USBC charging cord and 3 additional larger attachments stay in the box. The case feels very sturdy and has a nice navy and bronze finish on it. The probe has a navy matte rubber on the outside that has a very premium feel to it and also increases your grip while holding it.
I originally got this because I thought it would be nice to just have on hand, especially with kids. I normally clean my ears with a Q tip after showering, but thought I’d test it out when it arrived. The amount of wax I was able to see and remove was staggering!! What!? The camera gives you a very nice clear and well lit view of your ear canal! It takes some maneuvering and practice to get the best viewing angle, but if you go slow you get the hang of it pretty quick. There is also an attachment you can put on the end that is adjustable by sliding and prevents it from going too deeply into the ear, which I like. It comes with a good assortment of tools that even include a tongue depresser attachment for looking into the mouth, and a nasal speculum for looking into the nostrils.
The app is pretty straight forward and gives you a good view to the camera. It also comes with some neat features that allow you to take photos and videos and save, share, or send them to a physician (added cost I’m sure) to evaluate them and tell you if there’s an issue or not.
The app also includes a kid friendly mode that puts up some cute graphics on the screen. It has a music feature that plays music through the phone. I’m not sure what purpose this serves, however it may provide a distraction for those that need it. There are also some other settings in the app, such as elderly mode where it provides the option to zoom in up to. 3X more and enlarges the text, and then a more peculiar “Lover mode”. Not sure what this one is for and it appears the only function in there is to take photos. No other explanation.
Another nice feature is the Left/Right flip so you can flip the view depending on what side of the ear you are looking in. I think this will even be helpful when you have a pesky sliver or need to get to an area on your body, like your back or the back of your heel, that is hard to see. I can see getting a lot of use out of this! It packs quiet a punch for how small it is and I feel it is at an adequate price point.
