I'm a lady who likes to buy rugged clothes. Most lady 'rugged' clothing is made of inferior fabrics that just don't wear nicely and the pockets are too tiny. For men's sizes I have to buy my pants up about 2 to 3 sizes and then tailor them down so they fit in the waist. These do run a little bit large so I had to tailor them down about 5 inches in the waist.
The legs and knees are very generous however, which is very nice. That is one thing I have to say that lined men's winter work pants sometimes suffer from, too skinny of legs. The quick pocket on the legs that goes into the cargo pocket is too small for my phone, but I usually put my phone in my back pocket when I'm working.
When you get them wet the water pretty much just splashes right off of them. The dirt wipes away pretty easily. Mud doesn't stick too well and oil doesn't seem to soak in unless you let it sit there for a while. I already had a stick from a tree try to poke a hole in them already this weekend when I was cutting down some tree bits, they survived with flying colors. Also I was toasty warm the whole time.
I do wish the beltloops were a tad wider so I could run my toolbelt through the loops, but most modern pants don't seem to fit my ancient toolbelt. Oh well I'll just do what I always do and add a few toolbelt special loops.
